Toikeith’s Home Dedication

Home for the Holidays: Alachua Habitat for Humanity, CPPI, and Santa Fe College Celebrate Toikeith’s Home Dedication

Gainesville – Alachua Habitat for Humanity invites the community to join in a festive celebration as Toikeith’s new home is dedicated this holiday season. The dedication ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 19th at 4 p.m. at 334 NE 20th Terrace, Gainesville, FL 32641. Thanks to the collaboration between Alachua Habitat, Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI), and Santa Fe College’s Charles R. Perry Construction Institute, Toikeith will celebrate his first holiday season in a home he helped build.

This “Home for the Holidays” dedication represents the third home fully sponsored by CPPI and constructed by Santa Fe College construction students. Students at the Charles R. Perry Construction Institute built the home’s foundation in sections, which were then carefully transported to its current site and completed by Alachua Habitat volunteers. CPPI team members contributed over 200 volunteer hours, working alongside Toikeith and Habitat partners to bring this project to life.

The ceremony will feature speakers, including Dr. Paul Broadie II, President of Santa Fe College, and Bryan Harrington, Vice President/Regional Manager of the Gainesville Region of CPPI. Both will share insights on the collaborative efforts that made this home possible, highlighting the invaluable hands-on experience for Santa Fe students and the lasting impact on families like Toikeith’s.

Bryan Harrington, Vice President/Regional Manager of the Gainesville Region of CPPI, shared, “The partnership between Alachua Habitat, Santa Fe College, and Charles Perry Partners is a special one that embodies the core values of the company’s namesake, Charles R. "Chuck" Perry: education and stewardship. Santa Fe College students get to apply their training in a practical and meaningful way, and homeowners, like Toikeith Reynolds get to experience the joy of home ownership. The fact that Toikeith will be in his new home in time for Christmas makes it all the more special.”

Toikeith, who is a devoted uncle to 14 nieces and nephews, eagerly anticipates gathering his family in his new home, cooking meals in the kitchen, and welcoming his mother as one of his first guests. For him, moving in during the holidays makes the milestone even more meaningful.

The December 19th dedication will celebrate the spirit of giving and community that drives Alachua Habitat’s mission, while honoring the incredible contributions of CPPI, Santa Fe College, and all who made this project possible.
