Our Programs

At Alachua Habitat for Humanity, we offer two programs to assist members of our community. Our homeownership program is an application-based program that selects qualified applicants to partner with our Family Services department. Selected applicants follow a step-by-step process, dedicate 250 hours of sweat equity, and participate in 12 educational workshops in order to receive an affordable mortgage on a brand new home. Our Critical Home Repair program is also an application-based program, in which qualified applicants receive life changing repairs and/or modifications to their existing homes through our partnership with the Alachua County State Housing Initiative Partnerships Program (SHIP).
